Seller Verification Process

After verifying your email, you will land on the Verification Dashboard. You must complete this 5-step process to activate your shop. We do this to ensure Craftory remains a safe place for authentic Sri Lankan products.

Step 1: Basic Details​

First, we need your primary contact information.

  • Mobile Number: Enter your personal mobile number (OTP verification may be required).
  • Date of Birth: Select your correct DOB.

Step 2: Identity Verification​

You can verify your identity using your National Identity Card (NIC) or Driving License (DL).

  1. Document Type: Select "National ID (NIC)".
  2. NIC Number: Type the number exactly as shown on your card.
  3. Photos:
    • Upload a clear photo of the Front of your ID.
    • Upload a clear photo of the Back of your ID.
  4. Selfie Verification: Take a photo of yourself holding your ID card near your face.

Make sure the text on your ID card is readable in the photos. Blurry images will be rejected.

Step 3: Business Information (Optional)​

If you are a registered business, you can upload your BR details here.

  • Business Reg No: Enter your BR number.
  • BR Document: Upload a photo or PDF of your Business Registration certificate.

Note: If you are an individual seller (freelancer/artisan), you can Skip this step.

Step 4: Address Verification​

To verify your location, please upload a proof of address document (dated within the last 3 months).

Accepted Documents:

  • Utility Bill (Water/Electricity)
  • Bank Statement
  • Lease Agreement

Step 5: Final Review & Social Media​

Review all your details carefully. You also need to add your social media links to help us verify your artisan status.

  • Facebook: Paste your Full Profile URL (e.g., facebook.com/mycraftshop).
  • Instagram & TikTok: Enter your Handle only (e.g., @mycraftshop).

Click Submit Verification when you are ready.

Approval Pending​

Once submitted, your application goes to our review team.

  • Review Time: Typically 24 - 48 Hours.
  • You will receive an email once your shop is approved.
